Mechanical Integrity (MI) is
contained in OSHA s Process Safety Management
(PSM) standard 29 CFR 1910.119.
The objective of MI is to ensure equipment does not fail in
a manner that cause or affects the release of covered chemicals.
Equipment means the hardware that contains these chemicals.
Mechanical Integrity covers the design, fabrication, construction
/installation and operation of equipment throughout the entire
process life.
The services we offer cover the fabrication/installation
and operation aspects of the standard.
- Implementation of QA/QC programs to
monitor new construction/installation
activities.
- Review of existing equipment /hardware
facilities to select a inspection and
examination program to collect data to ascertain the condition
of those facilities.
- Engineering review and analysis of the
collected data to provide remaining life
estimates; repair/upgrade recommendations to bring the
facilities equipment/
hardware up to code standards to meet OSHA and state guidelines.
